New in 2011 - All swimmers will be recorded going into the water -
the organisers will be enforcing the NO CHIP NO RESULT ruling.
- Closing dates for entries - Fax, Bulk and Online entries close 30th September. Late entries will be accepted on Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd at Sun City and subject to a R70 penalty per person.
- When entering the individual 1500m events please select a School, Club or Masters Club name. You may only count for one of these. First consult the list of prizes.
- The Team event will not be a separate swim. Team prizes in the Categories of Company, Non Company or Family will be calculated from Events 2-5. A team will still consist of a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5 members. Each member to pay an additional R30 to enter.
- All 1500m Disabled swimmers, to be eligible for prizes, must swim in Event 5. Disabled swimmers will start after the main group.
- The Fun swim will not be timed
- Entry fees are non refundable. For the purpose of determining your entry fee payable you will be recorded as entered when the race office receives your entry payment. For faxed entries, allow 7 days before attempting to confirm your entry.

Please allow 90 minutes from collection to Waterworld near the Cabanas.
Registration for each event will close 90 minutes prior to start and at 11h00 on Saturday. - All non residents and non participants will pay an entry fee of R50 per person at the Sun City Main Entrance gate. Participants receive entry vouchers to the Valley of the Waves worth R100.
- Parking will be in the dedicated parking areas immediately after entry to the Sun City complex. Buses dedicated to swimmers and supporters will leave from the parking areas for transport to the Cabanas and will be available for return to the parking area throughout the day.
The Dis-Chem Sun City 3000m and 1500m are sanctioned by Swim South Africa. The 1500m forms part of the Central Gauteng Aquatics Elite Swim Challenge.- Cut off swim times - 3 000m Halfway 40min, Final 100min; 1 500m Halfway 20 minutes, Final 50 minutes.
- The enquiries tent at the dam will be the distribution point for spot prizes.
